Exactly was i am thinking!! A NEW 350 - 260 horse motor for $1300. You can't even begin to rebuild one for that. Box stock should get high 10's low 11's and be reliable as all hell. Would the 12/12000 warranty still apply?

Try 210 hp. They are straight out of Mexico so don't expect too much performance. I have installed several in buddies cars, pretty lame on the power end, and I think you'll be surpised at the times as well. You might see 12's.

Really? The catalogs state them at 260. Almost 290 with aftermarket intake carb and headers. I have one and they are on the short end of the power scale. Im sure a simple cam change would help alot. One of those tow truck cams for brute torque all under 5000 rpm's before valve float.

Anybody come up with plans or cad drawings for this? It looks like a great project, if anyone has them I'd like to get a copy. I did a search and came up with some more pics, no plans. Thanks, grouchy

i know Root's thread about "new cl*** interest" is alive and well. . . i totally love the HA/GR thing, but a slingshot kinda does a lil something more for me personally

I agree I like the slingshot better myself. The "New Cl*** Interest" thread is a good read. Lots of widely spaced ideas. I'd appreciate any help, blueprints, plans or websites. Thanks, grouchy

WOW! This got dug up. I got a car almost built. Fairly simple ch***is wise. The local builder helped me a bunch to make sure it would be safe and legal when i get to the track. I'll be posting pics in the next couple weeks when mock-up is done.

When Ryan said " build it" the wife finally gave me the go ahead to build. Gotta love a woman like that.
