The yellow one from his avatar. It looks nice in 90x90 pixels but I want to see more. He keeps calling it a rat rod, but I have my doubts. Here's the littl'un:
Awesome tech-o-matic post (and one of my favorite cars on the HAMB) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB4&Number=95096&page=1&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 You'll see the chop, as well as what he started out with. There are some current shots floating around in the billetproof posts, but hopefully he'll post some new ones here too...
Damn, that car has one of the prettiest rooflines I've ever seen. Thank you for the link, Curt Six. <--- still hoping Cleatus will share some more recent pics
[ QUOTE ] He keeps calling it a rat rod, but I have my doubts. [/ QUOTE ] I wasn't meaning to say that I myself call it a rat rod, I just meant that when others do (which they do), that it doesn't bother me. Thanks for the interest man, I'm glad you like my car. I'll see what I got in my camera.
[ QUOTE ] id like to see the before pics, from what I hear it was horrendous [/ QUOTE ] One man's trash....
This is from several months ago as I was working on rebuilding the front of the car out wider to match the with of the Cadillac grill.
A few minutes ago in the garage as it sits waiting to go somewhere. Not today though. I gotta run to meet up with my riding buddies... later
i dunno,man..i LOVE that car without the hood..but the hood's lookin cool...got any more pix of it with paint?maybe i just cant see it without it all bein green..throws me off lol creepy
Cleatus, you are the man. I wish I was still back in Sac so I can pick that brain of yours. GIVE ME MORE IDEAS FOR MY 39.
Here's tonight's shot of the new hood. I never really liked it without the hood - it just didn't look like a custom to me and ruined the shape I was going for. I only ran it without the hood because I didn't have time to cut it up and shape it to match the new grill.
Hey Speedaddict - I can do a little photoshop on your 39 if you want to get some ideas. Personally, I dig it just the way it sits, but it's always fun to play around.
this is my favorite car, ever. without a doubt. i didnt hesitate to push giving it a trophy down in stockton at the suicide kings show. and was stoked to see it at our show "midnight m***". and the best part is my favorite car is local. see you around i am sure. are you going to bailon's show up in auburn?
Cleatus, Relly nice ride you have... think i have to go overseas next year so i could se it in person...
Here are a couple of shots I took at The Asphault Invitational. The new hood looks great! Artsy shot: Not so artsy shot, but a killer car:
DAMN Cleatus. You got some balls postin a picture of Brewsir on the internet.. said he'd stomp on me if I ever did it.. And I love your custom. Can I shoot it when it's done?
JSM56: Yes, I plan to go to the Joe Bailon Show on Oct. 17th - Auburn fairgrounds - I hope to see a bunch of us out there. Norrland: The color is custom tinted Sikkens primer/sealer. Shortbus: I'd be honored to have you shoot it, but if'n your'e waiting til it's done, it may be a long while. Gotgas: thanks again. If it still looks yellow to you, you might wanna adjust yer monitor
Cleatus, I really like the look of the doors with the molded top and reshaped front portion. are you going to have framed gl*** or?
This is crudely done on a low res. blurry photo, but I plan to make the sidegl*** & frames look something like this:
