Hot Rods I was out of step when everyone else was building street rods

    I've always liked the look and feel of the old stuff. No flashy bling needed here. But I do have my family along with me in the car so it had to have some "modern" upgrades to make it safe and reliable. Other than seeing a floor shifter if you look inside, everything looks like it was from the factory 68 years ago (well a couple of inches lower maybe). The next thing I'm looking at isn't H.A.M.B. friendly, but again it's still gonna look like it did back then.

    I torched out all the hi tech stuff, IRS,IFS, etc.on my 5-W and put it back the way it was in 1977.
    4 inch dropped axle, 9 inch Ford, etc.

  4. ...I started buildin stuff like this in the late 70's, just because I liked the look;...it took awhile to catch on...

    Are you going to have to fight off the " Save The Mohair " environmental bunch? I can remember having to explain to a bunch of PETA folks that thought that killing " Naugas " just to put an interior in my car was a criminal act.;):cool:
