Probably back in 2006ish? (It could be newer than that I'm really bad with time these days) I came across these DVDs in the Walmart value bin... For 4 or 5 bucks each. The 2 documentaries kind of covers the rockabilly revival right in the height of it... One of the two films Ian Roussel is building a goofy little hot rod that I would say is on the edge of being a rat rod and the other one is the Chevy you see on the cover. It also shows a car club in LA and VLV coverage of the car show when the shifters were still running it, the video also has a sound track of California style skate punk music and I think some psychobilly (it's been a long time since I've watched them for an accurate description of the music). I don't know if these are still available or if they are reasonably priced on eBay or still available through "throttle tv" But they we're definitely entertaining and I would even say somewhat of an inspiration to get cracking on your projects and if you are a fan of Ian I would say these are a recommended watch. Side note I just found out Ian had a TV show the other day... I mean literally the other day (my boss made mention of him). I most definitely live under a toolbox (AKA a rock) I have never watched the TV show, I turned off the TV about 8 years ago, when you watch these videos he's poor and definitely not a TV star yet lol Anyways if you want to look them up Here is the photo of the two videos
"He had a short lived show on one of the cable channels, too." He turned down the cable channel when they wanted to extend his contract so he could do his own thing on youtube too.
I saw a interview with Ian and he said whenever he Victor or the rest of the cast made an appearance people would ask where "Shop Inspectors" were and acted disappointed that the pups were not there.
