Technical ID a console door

    Swap meet find, got it for a buck. Now trying to find out what it was from.

    Wow, cool. Thanks. That explains why I couldn’t find anything that looked right. Kept looking for big 3 cars, and totally forgot about AMC.

    Not sure about the Rambler. The OP has one long lid. I'm no photo enhancement guy but it looks like the number on the understand could be Ford but hard to tell. Maybe Mr. Google could shed some light on the number?

    if you'd have got the rest of that little starburst circle, we could see what year it is :)

    not a Ford number, for sure.

    I'm pretty sure it's from a Rambler Classic or Ambassador, and the 3-65 most likely indicates March 1965 production.
    If you want to try to find the part number there is a Rambler parts book at www.ramblerlore.com. I'm not certain you will find it, I bet the console is listed as an assembly. Probably in Group 29 along with seats, might be Group 30 Misc.
