I picked up this cool license plate light for my custom Lead Sled project a few years and have yet to be able to identify it.

Anyone out there recognize it? There are no part numbers or other identifying marks on it.

    Thanks in advance.

    '49 Studebaker I believe.

Is the sheetmetal piece part of the original trim, or is that something you made?

The Studebaker is close but different. All the sheet metal is either custom by me or completely unrelated to the license plate light.

Looks like 1950...Found this with a Google search.

Thanks for the direction. Now I know.

A little more searching and it looks like the 1951 is the same. The 49 is somewhat different so it looks like I have a 50-51 Plymouth license light. Thanks again.

Good eye. It is actually based on a fastback. I posted a few pics in my intro http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=349324, but since it is not strictly HAMB friendly I didnt post up any build stuff here. Being a new guy, I don't want to tick anyone off. Just looking for inspiration and hanging out with like-minded folks. Well, maybe not completely like-minded. :)

glendale, you have a PM. Thanks.
