Looks similar to one I took out of an old boat a while ago.

I think it's British, but don't know what car, maybe early Austin-Healey.
That doodad by the horn*****on is the turn signal switch.

 

Yeah, that,s British, Probably Triumph or Austin.

 

It is off an English Ford late 50's-early 60's, yours is an earlier one. this one is a 1962
