Technical ID help on bracket

  2. Looks like a lower generator mounting bracket, I can't say for sure what make it is though. I think Chevy versions are formed steel not cast iron.

    You said vette stuff, my 1st instict was 1st gen vette. Early versions were heavy like that, how early I don't know. And your number didn't attach.

    Down leg looks short for a Chev smog pump bracket; but the thing does look familiar.

    look at pics of the smog pump bracket, it's different.

    could be a generator bracket, doesn't look like Chevy to me.

    And Chevy was good about putting part numbers on castings, weren't they?

    what does the tag say? that's tied to it with string. Just a price? :)

    Actually just found a number 61690 .or 61590 ... ,its hard to read.
    String tag was long faded and nothing readable

    I have a cast bracket like that on a 56 Olds generator, but it doesn't have that straight right angle arm on the back side. I bet it's mid 50's GM.
