ID-ing Ford Flattie V8 head

    Bought a '50 Shoebox with an 8BA this weekend. The guy also had some 24 stud flattie V8 heads in some dirt and he gave em to me. In the center of the heads, it says "81S-B" what model is that? TIA

    85 HP Denver head, high compression for high altitude use. An old racing favorite for stock car racing restricted to Ford iron heads.
    I'll be happy to buy them for my all pre-war boat anchor project--PM me if you want to sell or trade.
