Got these photos from someone cleaning up an estate. Trying to identify year and make. They said one has a Chevy tailgate but these are all the pictures I have.
The one with the lime green looks like a 1954 or early 1955 chevy pickup bed, on account of the flat tops of the bed sides. The other 2 I think are mid 30's ford.
Chevy used the lime green type bed for decades starting in 54. Fenders were different for the different eras. 35 Ford might be what the others are...
The one sitting on top is a 35-36 Ford. Someone has drilled out the rivets and removed the metal floor bottom and wooden subfloor.
The top bed is a 38 or later. 35-37 beds didn’t have that reinforcement bracket over the center of the wheel, and were shorter and shallower than 38 & up. (37 was longer than 35/36, but there’s conflicting info as to how much longer. Some say 10”, others 4.4” but 4,4” sounds correct.).
10” and it is behind the rear fender. Look at the spacing of the gas filler neck and the back of the bed. The extra 10” showed up in 37. The little braces aren’t really a tell tale, because I have seen them added on 35-36 beds, for what reason, I don’t know. It does look like it is spot welded or riveted though. Let me look at some drawings I have to make sure. It could be later, I have been known to be wrong…ask my wife.
