Hmmmm...why not RENT the other house? Then the tennants pay the mortgage, builds your ***ets, and maybe you could get that car..... That ol' hotrod deserves a proper home......
That was certainly one of the options, after my family moved out we spent $5k on the house painting, new fixtures, new carpeting etc. to make it the nicest house for sale in the neighborhood while still competing in price with the lowest cost compe***ors. We had hoped that would create a quick sale. I would hate to waste that investment if I landed a bad tenant. Thank's for the advise -Tad Tad
Tad, we are in the rental business. We weed out the bad ones by having a slightly higher rent than the compe***ors, keeps away the price shoppers. Then we require 1 1/2 month security plus first month rent. Low lifes can't come up with 2 1/2 times the monthly rent to move in. It works. You can get a quality tennant. Don't feel sorry for anybody, it's a business. Frank
Excellent advice......then, when the housing market turns around, put the house back up for sale for more than what you're asking now.
wow Tad, I hope you can swing things and get this gem home. I'm guessing your PM box is filling up rapidly. Best of luck to ya!! Ive crossed my fingers for you.
