they were givin to me by a buddy of mine that just had them settin in his backyard and im wanting to use them on my truck but i have no idea what they are from so i was hoping some of you guys here could id them for me
15inch wheel, 5 on 5 bolt pattern, about 3inch backspacing with the valve stem on the backside of the wheel
It is my humble opinion that if the hole for the valve stem is on the inside it is a wheel that has been reversed. Thats how we did it when I wore short pants.
Imperials had a 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern, and the 60-61's had holes all around the edges... Like on this T: I would guess reversed Cadillac, no nubs for hubcaps, no need with full wheel covers are standard.
That's how they came from the factory. It's not reversed, the side with the valve stem is the front. They welded it on the front side. It's like that to clear a hubcap
Kinda, It depends on how you think about it. Really, it center was just made to be welded from the front.
ok, im just used to seeing the other side of the center as the front so what they were on originally? do i have caddy wheels or what? thanks for all the help so far guys
That is a Cadillac wheel ! Any of you guys ever tried to put one of them DEEP Caddy caps on a standard wheel ? They made them pretty much Backward to clear the DEEP caps. Look at the chamfer on the Lug nut holes...
Yes, that is correct. I have a set and they are 63-4 caddy. 5 on 5 bolt pattern, made especially to clear extra deep cadillac full wheel hubcaps which came factory on those year cars. Im also told that it was a fad for like 5 seconds in the early to mid seventies around the socal area to run chrome reverse rims like these for your rears on your hot rod. -GothY-
thanks for the help guys itll be pretty cool havin caddy wheels on my truck, well 3 of them anyway, lol
