I received some pictures from as friend this weekend. This picture was in the stack. Can anyone ID this car?
I saw several pictures of the car and talked to the guys when I was at MoKan last year. It is awesome looking and the workmanship looks great. Ron
Mr. Mac, Those two "senile ole men", that work in a pencil and paper world with a stick that has some funny little marks on it, ask me to post some more of thier work. So here goes.
Mr. Mac, They said to tell you they would have more when they can get some more powder for the flash tray and some more plates for the pin hole camera. But if you had some to spare it would speed things along. A message from the two "senile ole men"
Those two "senile ole men" are developing the HA/GR into an art form....... That is one neat race car.
HAHA! I had lunch with the old guys today, believe me I told them how good there car looked. Wish I could do metal work that good. I might just wander over there some day and take my camera along and take some pics for myself of coarse I'll have to find out when there nap time is over.
Mr. Mac So, you know about those naps do you. Maybe you ole guys can work out a time when your all up and about. You know a good nap is very important at your age.
Mr. Mac If we race down hill. How many pushers can we have? Is there a limit on wheel base? Is an NHRA cage mandatory? Are we required to have an onboard fire suppression system? Who builds an SFI approved brake system for these chairs? Do you think we can get TV time? Do we have to have an approved sponsor? Where can we put thier decal? How much do you think we can sell tickets for? Just a few small details to work out. One more thing, manual or automatic?
beautiful fabrication, not sure on the sharp edged runners on the intake or that 5/8" manifold flange (I see an opportunity for some speed holes) but love the rest.... Another slant comes out to play. Cheers, Drewfus
some may say I'm coping this with my next build, but what the hell it looks so good. I even have three srtombers to go. Bet they aint got a ladder bar leaf spring set up.?
Up date on Senile ole men I went by to check on them yesterday. They were in a meeting with a suit. So I walked around the shop looking. A few pics of interest; A fixture for the fabrication of an intake manifold. The next is of a fixture for the fabrication of headers. Looks like they could make some sweet music. After the meeting, they said, the suit was a stock broker. After some bench racing I ask, what was his recommendation for the day? The reply was buy can goods and ammunitions.
And vision.... I've been dreaming of doing something similar, look forward to see how long they make the intake runners, I'm going to guess about 18" to the plenum? please tell me my that someone else is thinking along the same lines as I am.... regarding the headers, was that 1 3/4" x about 44" long? I was aiming at 38" using 1 5/8".... Good torque from 3500-5500, right where we need it Look forward to seeing more, not long till Mokan now... Cheers, Drewfus
We just bought an engine designing computer program by Alan Lockheed ($400) to see what is needed for intake and exhaust systems. It will tell us a lot of other info also and it will be interesting to look at my GMC combination. Ron
It looks like "Senile ole men" went with a design that uses the 4th harmonic as the basis for thier intake manifold. Or they wanted to keep it under the hood. ???? They don't talk much about some of thier design ideas. Like the long up travel front suspenion, etc. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
Long up lift suspension,4th harmonic design damn iam impressed i belive ill go take my mid morning nap all this heavy thinking has worn me out
I went by to check on "Senile Ole Men" yesterday as it's been hot here. Larry was shuffling around putting the disco lights on the "Pit Cruiser". Jack was mumbling something about foggers for his injectors under the hood while he was welding. Couldn't really tell what he was talking about. I think the heat or the fumes are getting to him. Anyway they both are still working away toward completion of the car. Saw this setting on the bench. Must be a speed secret.
Those look like Hilborn carbs to me. With the short runs on the intake I would say they are planning 8000 rpm shift points. This could spell trouble for the rest of us. Roy
