Can anybody ID this old Tach? Found it in a box of stuff while looking for somthing else. Got it years ago and "lost it" till today. I think its factory 60's piece, but it has no markings on it. Looks kind of cool, I'd like to use it if I could find a cup it would fit in. Measures 4" round x 3 1/2 deep. Thanks!
The style of the lettering on it reminds me of '64-'66 Pontiac (big car maybe?) but I'm no expert, other than telling you it's not '65 Merc. Might be worth a couple hundred to the right guy, something else to consider before you adapt it to another car. I looked at some on eBay; lettering is similar to '64 GTO dash mount, but most of the factory ones on there had a second pointer for the redline.
It's only 6000 RPM. It has the look and feel of a factory chunk, but I don't recall how many R's those old Poncho Tachs went too,it seems like more than 6 though. Does it have any kind of Part# on it?
Hey, I think rustynewyorker has found a good use for e-bay! Use it for parts ID. I put in Oldsmobile tachometer and Pontiac tachometer as you all thought it might be from, and Bam...1964-1967 Cutl***-442 factory console tach. Mystery solved. Thaks all! PS...Good call Benzine440.
