Here are some pics of my 36 dodge brothers lakes modified/altered wheelbase drag car/thing. I'm in the process of doing the 8" chop already, but was wondering what my fellow hambers thought of sectioning the body 6" as well. I'm well aware it will be a ***** to see/drive, but the whole project seems to be out of sheer shock value anyways...hahaha. I ordered the last of the parts last night so, if all goes well, you should see this thing at a show in a few months *crosses fingers*

first pic, stock. second, 8" chop. third, 8"chop+6" section.

    lets hear what y'all think.

I like the second picture (8" chop) best. I wouldn't section it.

Boat seat in the bed with the steering column out the roof of course. I wouldn't do the section, and I'd probably go with no more than a 6" chop, but the 'sat on by an elephant' look seems to be the hot thing nowadays.

It's grotesque no matter what you do to it. If you're trying to make a piece of art rather than a piece of stylish transportation, then at least skip the section.

  13. I saw this truck on Ebay and wanted it but got too many projects. Did you buy it, or were you the seller and did it not sell?

    I'm glad you like it!

From now on, I dedicate this truck to all the overly snobby rodders out there.

If it bothers those guys, then I'm building em right.

If anyone could drive that thing for over five seconds without killing themselves, I'd have to buy them a beer. :D

That is, if you could even fit into it in the first place, of course. :D

  22. tell me that is not a BB Chevy in a Dodge.
I am goin right out and getting a 55 Chevy to pop a 440 in. After that I think a slant 6 mustang would be great.
Long ago before unleaded when cats drank mild not cleaned polution. TonyA (a.k.a." Antoine" )and i took a 36 Dodge coupe and bolted and I do mean bolted a 56 super red ram right into it. We used the flywheel and bellhousing etc from the 36 6 clyinder and the motor mount (under the water pump) even fit. How did it work? We never found out . Some dude saw it after we had the swap done and paid Antoine huge gold (back then about $600 bucks) and took it away to finish it for himself. The only problem we had was the left side ex manifold was too close to the steering box so we were gonna make aheader of sorts at least for that side. I have often wondered where it is today.

    LOL! That would rock!

If the whole project is out of sheer shock value (as you said in the original post)...that would be the way to go. :D

You could even put a Duvall windshield (or something like it) on there.

thanks guys, after looking more closely at it, i think the 8" chop is whats gonna be done. the cowl looks funny when its sectioned....so i think i'm gonna p*** on that mod.

  29. that truck is a total abortion. hideous. the only thing shocking is how unstylish the build is. and im not snobby.

i would take the whole thing apart and start over. decent parts, bad eye. imho.
