Wheel spokes are painted orange as of now I was thinking of changing color or should I leave them alone any ideas Ladies and Gents
I'd recommend the wheels and grill insert be painted either cream or buckskin....but you know what they say about opinions....they're like buttholes, half of them stink!
Man, I didn't notice the headlights, maybe it's a optical illusion but they do look huge, are they stock 32 headlights or big Caddy/Packard lights? HRP
1931 Lincoln big ass lights Yes the headlights are hideous there on the car when I bought the car they are going to be changed as well as the taller Tire in the rear 30 31 are going on in the rear
Jolly joker! Actually the colors aren't bad, but something a little taller for a rear tire would be nice. -Dave
I actually think the orange works pretty well with the body color and doesn't stand out and draw your attention away from the rest of the car like the headlights do. Any color that works with the body color and doesn't immediately draw attention will work though. A headlight swap and taller rear tires and guys eyes just see HOT ROD and don't see anything that distracts the eye and turns the car into it's background.
Yes the lights are hideous their 1931 Lincoln they were on the car when I bought I'm also in the process of changing the rear tires to a 30 31 inch tall Tire
I like BIG headlight honestly didn't think you could go too big, you proved me wrong! I'm sure you won't have a problem selling them. HRP
Bob Sage's roadster from "WheelSmith" has the same combo and has always looked great to me. You need some Dietz 7" headlights.
I like your commercial head lite choice. I Would leave the wheel color and maybe have a triple line pinstripe thrown on. Edit... Just went back and looked at the original pic, I guess you don't have room for a triple stripe
How about painting the wheels and grill in a sort of deep maroon and same deep maroon for dasboard and seats, should work out nice. ( or dark warm green as a alternative color for wheels, grill and seats ) As most say taller back tyre would get better proportions. AND DON'T YOU EVER think about fitting Edmunds&jones typ 20 lights , they are the very opposide of your lights, right Hotrodprimer ? Nice to see that even you have a limit in large size headlights . LOL
How about adding a bit more of the Orange on the belt line? I think it would tie the wheels to the car a bit more for unison. It looks like the grille insert is the same colour as the wheels. Black wheels with that shade of yellow would look boring.
Here's a couple of possible colors black and body color..Also smaller headlights and bigger rear tires...
Bigs in the rear, littles in the front, smaller headlights, (king bees), french grey grille insert, and tacoma cream wheels. Sent from my Chromebook 11 Model 3180 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I forgot the most important suggestion, "whatever YOU like". Sent from my VS500 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Black wheels, Stainless grill, Stainless '32 Ford Headlamps, big and little's. Not everyone is into the bias ply tires for the "correct" look but something taller and a bit narrower for the rear. Cliff Ramsdell Nice photo shop Moose
Much better...the 7" Dietz would get you to the top. Comm'l lamps just look... 'commercial'. Rest of the car looks pure pedigree hot rod.
