I was surprised when I saw the job listed on Career Builder and then on the UofA web site. To me, its a dream job because I've followed the big telescope projects for the last 30 years or so.

Nah, the really "great" drag strip was closed years ago when it was used as a landing strip for drug runners. Since then they've plowed it up and built houses on the land. That's what I'm told anyway. The old Tucson Dragway was a great place. I even saw "Big Daddy" Don Garlits run there. I was in the Air Force when they used to run the Fuel Altereds there.

My 98 Explorer has 147000 miles on it and even with the SBF its just doesn't have enough to pull a 20 ft box trailer. It's good advice and I'll think seriously about it for when the 48 F1 project is finished. Then I'll have a serious truck with which to haul things. That's why I'm building the truck in the first place.

    For Shifty,
That is good advice also about paring down the stash. In my case, the stash isn't that hugh. Just the one project car at this point; but parts saved for the next two projects. I don't have the body parts for the next two so that helps.

It used to be that you could sell off with the hope of buying again later. Too much of the good stuff is getting scarcer and the evil eBay is driving up prices.

The best thing is to PLAN out the projects and then not deviate from the plan. It saves spending money on parts and labor and using your labor for something you change later.

    Thanks for the advice guys.

You could buy a enclosed trailer (dime a dozen) if you have the space. Then move at your leisure. It takes the pressure off the move. They are very handy and are dry storage. I wouldn't give up mine.
