Why not try a late Buick fastback, the kind that looks like an early split window 'Vette (think '64)...that'd fit better than a Camaro style... R-
Stupid movie and a goofy kid with a fixation on death; cool way to be taken to your final resting place, though! Other "final trips" options for me would be a late '60s Aston Martin DBS...woot.
Chevy made three of those fastback "box" Chevy IIs. By the way, I am enjoying this thread. That's really why I BTT'd it
When I had my 54 chevy pickup I always wanted to take a panel van and cut it behind the doors and take off the top above the belt line and make a "wide bed" for the truck. It may have been done but I have never saw one.
Josh, that looks a lot like an ambulance of similar year near me. might be easier to start there. Devin
Dodge Piranha! Way cool and sumpin' they prolly shoulda done. How about a Plymouth version of the '66 Charger; maybe with the GTX front end?
What about a '61-62 Pontiac Super Duty 2-door wagon? More weight over the rear end for that mongo 389/421 and it'd make a killler tow vehicle for your Swiss Cheese Super Stock racer, and later, your A/FX Goat!
Well I've had this idea for a while and it's OT but I'd like to make a Cutlass Supreme/El Camino from an '80 Olds Cutlass and a G-Body Camino or Caballero.... I'd need a front clip, doors, and a set of rear quarters from a '78-80 Cutlass to pull it off (header panel would be '80 though)... I think it'd be cool! I like the 57-60 F100 Panel to 'Burban conversion too, that's pretty sweet... I had a '36 Olds 4dr Humback (w/ straight 8) that I thought about converting to a slant back 4dr, or a ute... I think that would have been pretty nifty too.. Long low and black w/ flat head straight 8 power.... Should have never ditched that car..
Theres a '70 El Camino in town that has a '70 Cutlass front end on it. He has the Olds emblems on it.The body line on the doors looks like a lot of body filler. The old guy used to own one of the largest junk yards here.
Something else to make y'all go hmmm....I've been re-reading some of my old Street Rodder mags and there was a photo in the Early Iron section of the October '89 issue of a guy who built a '33 Ford Fordor Vicky! (No scanner and no working digital camera...sorry.)
