This is from my fathers collection. He used it for a homemade sign on the backside. Will be passing it on to my grandson and would like the story to go with it. Not for sale.
There was someone on here that had a big collection of club plaques from across the globe, he may be able to help.
Cool plaque and odd that your dad would flip it over and that it seems to have mounting holes only at the bottom?
Four EC's in California, El Cajon, El Centro, El Cerrito and an East County area in San Diego. They've all had car clubs......and that's if the EC would stand for a location and if it's a club plaque.
I have a few plaques on my website with questions like this. One is another EC plaque with the number 17 instead of 40. A lot of clubs assigned members a number and if the plaque was stolen (happened a lot in the 50's) they would know who it belonged to when it was found. Here's a link to that page on my site ... https://carclubplaques.pairsite.com/Cities/NeedHelp.htm
that is definitely the same plate with a different number. I was thinking the ECCA may have been East Coast Coupe Association. Just a guess. No idea where my father got it from. He did the auto flea markets selling and buying flathead stuff. I am certain he had it at least 50 yrs ago for sure. I remember him painting the back side while I was a kid.
