Motion Pictures Identify this custom. 1935 racing film

    Looks like two different movies. This poster says it stars Monte Blue and Patsy Ruth Miller, while the trailer is for a movie of the same name starring Lyle Talbot and Mary Astor. The Monte Blue version was made in 1925, while the second (and probably superior) film was made in 1935.

    The first movie was either a real stinker or quite good, as it was remade. I'd like to see both.

  4. Yep. Just figured out there is an earlier version.
    TCM used the 25 poster for the on demand.

    edit. Apparently the 25 movie is not similar to the 35 movie. Same name and both from Warner Bros.

    "The Crowd Roars" and "The Roar of the Crowd" are two other movies that are misleading, one is GREAT racing from the 1930's the other is about life in the Circus.
