That's a shame, Jerry, Glad your'e alright. Gonna be hard to match the patina on the truck tho. Probably gonna cost the insurance company more!
Damn, Jerry, I hope you don't have any lingering injuries. I also hope the idiot has insurance, I am still suing the jerk who smashed the Commander at the Roundup. FOLLOW SCOOTER'S ADVISE......... Don't make me come out there.
Having just straightened a rear end housing, with a chain, two bolts, a 10 ton jack and a tape measure, enough to work on a "driver" that was centerpunched in a wreck. I think you should check what did stop your truck, the engine and drive train. radiator hits engine pushes trans into driveshaft which center punches rear axle, possibly causing visible external and not so obvious internal damage. Especially the trans and rear end. I noticed the bend in this rear end after seeing the 1-1/2" toe-in of the rear wheels when I took the bed off! Have El P check if the torque arm flames are still aligned right!
Don't mean to sound an ***hole, but you ever consider stopping distance ? Relying on the guy infront to be a good sensible driver is the dumb move in my book. People do stupid ****. If your not ready for it you're all done.
Well you succeeded... he made a left, turning in front of him, this means he was in another lane, maybe you didn't get that part... Jerry, I hope your doing ok, it really ****s 'cause your truck has been everywhere...
No I didn't get that part. I don't see where it mentions crossing lanes. Eitherway, it's a *****. If the other guy cut across him to hang a left, I sincerely apologise. And if he didn't, I'm sorry it happened all the same. I don't want to see anybody wreck, especially somebody from the forum in a rod. That's not a good thing anyway you look at it.
Hey ya all i love jerrys ole truck just like everybody else , its just that i know jerry , jerry prob has a stockpile of spare sparts just waitin like a nascar pit stop ta slap back on and his truck will be back online in no time .If not in his back yard or bedroom the parts will be found thats why i am not worried about the truck itself .YEAH its a total bummer , but if he can not find a part he will make it ,i have even seen people drive up and give him whole parts trucks for free . What does concern me is the toll the wreck took on the man himself .Not wanting to get all mushy here .After he discribed the damage and that he bent a vintage metalflake wheel ETC ,and now he is hurting , thats what worries me !JERRY you know if i gotta play naggin scooter the friend and tell everyone on here you phone # ,tellin them to make ya get yer **** and the rest of ya in and make ya get checked i out i have no problem with that
Hello Jerry Sad to hear about your truck, but the major thing is to hear you get alright out of this mess. Hope the crash didnt bent the frame on the truck, but it sounds like pretty hard contact. Hope I will see the truck on road again next time Im in Phoenix. Later Lars
