So it's been a while since i've been able to put dreams into action, and being a 3rd generation car enthusiast, it's been tough. In 2005, right in the midst of tough times i put up my last build for a time, which was a '28 Ford rpu. Since then, i've lost my garage space, got custody of my son, changed jobs twice, and gotten soriety through aa (3 years now). All the while I've had a parts pile stashed away, waiting for the right time. Now that my two oldest are about to push off into the world on their own, I'm getting close to that time, and I can't wait. Priorites and hotrodding often clash, more so due to the finacial, and time involved aspects of a build. Surfing is the same way, it can take priorities and fuck nem all up. I learned the hard way, and got that all out of whack years ago. I don't really know where I'm going with this, other than to just put my thoughts and life experience out there, and perhaps recieve some feedback, or find that there are others on the HAMB in my shoes. It's been the saving grace to my sanity, this place.....to be able to bench race here, read, and learn while the sleeping bear is idle in the man cave, waiting for his season. It'll be grand, for sure, when the day comes that I'm posting up another build on the HAMB. We all want to be a part in some way, and this place has been just that for me, a place to still be a part. In the meantime, I've enjoyed watching some of the guys I started out here with build, and create....guys like Zeke, 3wLarry, Zman, Detonator, SamIyam, Kirk, Furbisquit, heyitsnate, nosurf, radshit.......i could go on and on. So thanks to all of you, and those I've not mentioned, for allowing me to live out my dreams through your posts. Someday soon, I'll return the favor......top secret plans are unfolding as we speak....bwahahahahahaha! Chime in you guys, i'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter....
Love, Farmer xoxo hugs and kisses

Farmer, glad to hear your life is turning around! If you wanna hang out sometime, gimme a holler. You're not too far away from me.

Speaking of priorities, I'm a pop now too. He's an awesome little guy, but like you said, there goes a lot of free time! :D

Congratulations on getting stuff sorted out. I had to chime in just to agree that this place is fantastic for staying in touch and feeling a part of hot rodding when other stuff gets in the way of building and driving. Viva la HAMB.

Sounds like you're doing great! Are you a writer? Your post describing your life events seems to make me think so.

Looking forward to seeing whatever project you come up with, I'll bet it rules!

Farmer, Kudos X2 for writing. The building process is "a" priority, along with many other of life's demands. Not always easy, to strike a good balance. You've been there, so maybe each time around is a fine tuning of the challenges.
