yeah it's about 20 miles up the road from me. haven't been there but i did just buy a new house and it wasn't there is that tells you anything. the concept sounds great. i have been told who was the brains behind it and he is a ******** dead stock aaca restorer type who doesn't have an open mind about what can or should be done to cars. all his buddies are just like him. i still think it's a great concept and all. it sits in a pretty nice area to. Boone which is an awesome little town is just 20 or so miles up the mountain. you can jump on the blue ridge parkway there and enjoy one of the best rides you could ever take. asheville, charlotte, pigeon forge, winston-salem/greensboro are all within in 1-2 hours away. lots of nice land to see. if your into the nice quiet life this place rocks. i moved over here from the coast(live up and down the eastcoast all my life) 3 or so years ago. I ****ING LOVE IT HERE. i live on a nice single cul de sac road 7 houses and 5 more empty lots. the house beside me just went up for sale over 2200sqft nice house on half an acre built 2 years ago. $145,000. i gave about 10 grand less but have a better layout but my house is 10 years older. everybody come on down. we'll take over the whole street and build a shop on the half acre next to me(asking 12k for it). the guy at the end of the road is already an old mopar freak. a couple more and we could do a hostile take over. oh yeah it also Teton dr. tetons as derive from breastlike. oh yeah i've even got a nice mountain view from my back deck. yeah i LOVE my new house.

anyway with all that said the concept of that place is great but i'm really affraid the open mindedness needed will not be there. i've got teh day off thursday maybe i'll go check it out...ken....

Sorry. This ***le reminded me of a very bad experience. You haven't lived until you've been stuck in the back of a car for 400 miles listening to someone from North Carolina and a Texan arguing over who the REAL southerner is.

Yeah, the lots start at 200k, for 1 acre. It is time to move. I bought 12.5 acres north of Greenville Sc, and I am building a new 60x100, with a 20x100 porch on the back. No matter what, someone will always piss you off, and there is always someone with more time or money near by that likes to start ****. I hope on 12.5acres I do not have to look at my neighbors. I am tired of hearing kids playing, and looking at H2's.

I always thought it would be cool to build garage space to rent out - kinda like those storage warehouses. Build them about 1 1/2 car size so a guy could fit a car and his tools in there. Get a big *** air compressor so people could tap in if they wanted. You could get some tools like welders, cherry pickers and the likes to rent out. Really cater to the hobbyist. Have really good security and fire alarm systems and such too, definitely a sprinkler system. Maybe build a paint booth to rent too. Make it the kind of place where everyone had their own garage, and people could come in and hang out and turn some wrenches.

We do this for Harley's one night a week at my local shop. We even take turns bringing the meat for grilling out. Got 4 lifts. If you need one you book it. If you don't you come help a guy that needs help. Much love all around. Most are regulars. So just fix a bike and go away. The owner charges 40 bucks for the 1st night of lift time (but that's just to see who is committed).
He doesn't charge again after that. If you're an a-hole you won't be invited back. I can see it being harder to do with cars though.
