I'd trade my 61 Starliner for a 40 Ford Deluxe coupe.

    Don,

It's an early '47. Henry Ford was too cheap and wouldn't throw anything away and at a model year crossover, especially after the war, he would use up all the parts that were in stock as opposed to scrapping it. It is not uncommon to see these cars that have trim from the previous model year. I have heard about, but have not seen personally, cars that have had '46 belt line and fender trim on one side and '47 belt line and fender trim on the other.

  4. Got ya. Yeah, I have heard of stories about Henry like this.

I'd trade my two projects, 27 T roadster, 46 Merc 4 door and my OT Alfa Romeo Spider QV for @Ron Funkhouser 's
Hemi powered 2 door A. That's one of the bitchenest cars I've ever seen. Then, my wife would divorce me because of all the money she knows, or thinks she knows, that I've been spending on those cars and she'd probably wind up with the Model A in the settlement. I'm not sure if that's a win or a loss.;)
