If it weren’t for Hot Rods I’d never know…

...that my wife is far more patient than I realized

...most of my friends

...that welding slag takes a long time to cool off

...that uncooled slag takes NO time to take skin off

...that 12v electricity can make you piss yourself

 

that without cars/hotrods.....i'd have WAY more money and be really, really bored.

drinking and angle grinders are NOT a good combo.

don't wear shorts while cuting, grinding, or welding.

i've learned i can find AMAZING deals and prices on parts that i need, that turn out to be the wrong part, wrong year, etc.....but you make it work!

i love when people ask what i'm working on at a parts store like they're interested, but when i tell them, "a '53 chevy 210 deluxe",...they're not near as excited cause it's not a camaro, chevelle, or nova,....hehe.

i love when people ask if i'm gonna put a 350sbc in my '53 and i chuckle and say, "Nope, i'm running 6 in a row"....then they look puzzled and wonder why and what the hell i'm talkin' about...

i've learned this IS a "fad" to some.....and to stay away from those.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY,....being on the younger side of this lifestyle, hobby, etc. NEVER EVER EVER blow off an "old timer" that's willing to give you suggestions, help, tell you that you're wrong....or that just wants to tell cool old stories.
they've done it, listen to them!
