i think this is Life's way of releasing us from all the burden we carry for 70+ years.

plus, it leaves more room for new stuff.

If I'm really lucky and my son was around when I was working on something, I can ask him. He might have been only paying slight attention but will usually know exactly where I put some random thing.
Presumably I used to have that good a memory.

At one point in the past I made a whole bunch of spare keys after an episode.... I know I put spares hidden in one car. I found while checking other things. I should remember:rolleyes:..

  9. Never hide anything for same keeping cause you'll only find it weeks, months or years later when you're not looking for it!o_O

My mother used to tell me, you’d loose your ass if it wasn’t fastened on. She was right!

Got home yesterday from a weekend car show. Opened the back doors on Clarence to retrieve the cooler. Carpet was soaked as, once again, I hadn't put the drain cap back on. Got a black sharpie and wrote in big letters on the cooler's white lid: "CLOSE DRAIN." That's not the first time I've forgot to cap the drain.

Will it help? Who knows? The sign I installed on the inside of the walkout door that says "TURN OFF WELDNG GAS" hasn't helped much. I also put the same message on a big strip of blue painters' tape right on the welder. It hasn't helped much either.

I'll look for the wrench I still have in my hand for 10 minutes, then when I "find" it, I forget what I needed it for. Or it's a 9/16" and I really needed a 1/2", and then the fun begins again.

Once I was looking for my keys before work, the more I looked and couldn’t find them the more frantic I got. Man I’m going to be late for work I was running around the house looking everywhere!
My wife finally says “ What are looking for?” My keys “What keys” says she My car keys say I “The ones in your hand?”
    Doh
I’ve been known to look for a wrench in my hand or pocket at times. WOW

I went into a room in my house yesterday and actually remembered why I went in. It was the bathroom, but it still counts.
