There are a lot of lurkers on the board , and some are in the know as far as new production parts and could make it happen. If you could ask for 1 part to be repopped what would it be?

Mine would be 35-37 Ford pickup running boards with the factory ribs.

I know it's asking alot but plenty would love to have the front AND rear fenders of the 35 through 40 fords repopped.
Its funny..... you can build a brand new 1965 Mustang with the new parts but don't look for the complete sheetmetal for these popular years.

I have been trying for years to find someone who could reasonably put my shop name on a stamping die that I could put in a press and raise or imprint the name in light steel or aluminum.
The only person who told me he could do it wanted $6000.
    I declined.

I wouldn't mind the trim for my 53 caddy in original stainless. Stuff is hard to find. And not cheap.

as for fabricated....I'd like someone to build me an airbag set up for my caddy. Haaa.

grille for a 1962 Chevy II.

They have repops for '63 and up, but '62 has the best looking grille, by far!

this is something that I have been thinking about doing..and I acutally did do some reasearch into having this done for me..

but.. with the popularity of olds grilles in kustoms.. I am really suprised that someone isnt repoping 46- 48 oldsmobile grilles.. a decent original costs anywhere from 1500 - 2500 to replate.. and then its still pot metal.. if someone could cast (or machine a "billet" repop".. I would be all over it..)

of course the cost would need to be under the price of a rechrome job..

It's funny should should ask this question. I thought of a custom piece (set) for Big Olds, I then asked one HAMB guy who I knew was talented enough to pull it off, he agreed and now I'm just patiently waiting the arrival of my set of custom fabricated pieces from ............:D

Details with photos as soon as the pieces are here and installed......... and I'm sure the HAMB fellow in question will do a tech too. :D I'm so excited, it's really hard for me to keep secrets.;)

    for the early Olds motors;

engine to transmission adapters, flywheels, starter switch-overs
    adjustable rocker arms
    billit cams
    blower kits
    magneto bases

    for starters.

With the popularity of 49-54 Chevy cars lately, a manufacturer would do well to produce just about anything on these cars. There are a few patch panels out there, but I have not been impressed with any of the quality I have seen. Either the stamping quality is poor (wrong contours, wrinkles, etc.) or they use steel so thin it only has one side! And much of what would be produced for these would also fit same-year Pontiacs and Olds's.

    Suggestions for "1st Priority":
    Front Floors
    Complete Rear Quarters
    Rockers
    Rear Splash Pans
    Trunk Floors

I also second the vote for the 35-40 Ford fenders.

right now, I'd sure like to get my hands on some Divco wheels, so them. Although big picture I'd have to agree with flatheadpete.

I would also like to see a hood top for 35-36 Ford pickups that didn't use the 32 hinge.

If Divco wheels were readily available people might realize how rediculous they look on 90% of all Hot Rods... Lakesters and track-roadsters being the possible exceptions. Although I'd love to see a Lincoln Zephyr with them on the front.

For me it would have to be pedals...

32 to 40 Ford pedal sets are way too hard to come by.

To an extent I'd have to agree with ya. They certainly wouldn't look right in any application. For an early dry lakes car I think they're dead nuts on though.

RE: the 35-40 fenders, Bob drake is supposedly soon to release 40 ford coupe steel fenders, I think the hood is already avail, and is working up to the whole coupe body in steel. No help on my 37 slantback rear fenders I needed though.
