That car is currently being parted out in the parts section.

 

With the theme your considering I'd do it Black on Black with blackwalls on black steelies. BUT.......My grandpa bought an identical 56 Vicky brand new off the showroom floor in 1956. It was Mint green with a white/ivory uppper section. 312/3spd od. If it was mine, that would be the only other color option I would consider other than all black.

 

I dig it...but the whole top should be black and the bottom cream...it's different and that's just my $.02!

 

See how much tougher the gray one looks compared to the red/orange and white? I'm telling you, these cars really benefit from being all one color if you want it to look mean or tough.

 

Flat black ... all flat black.

 

Flat grey, with red pin-striping and brush all the chrome down.

Dark blue, heavy flake top section. Black lower section.

 

The first car I drove was a 56 Ford. Light blue and white. I loved the color scheme. I think these cars look good in 2 tone pastel colors. Makes them look clean. I would go with a light blue or turquoise or yellow or orange with white but reverse the colors from factory and put the white on bottom and top with the color in the middle. There is an orange/creme convertible in town here that looks awesome.

The colors on this car are SOO subtle, but yet different enough with the pearl to pop!

That black and yellow is hard to beat. I just saw one here today on a trailer !!!

 

Candy Oriental Blue, and Pale Seafoam Pearl, all custom mixed, of course!

 

All black. with shiny chrome.

 

Black bottom. White top.******in combo.
