Hot Rods If you could pick a TRUCK that epitomizes the word "Hot Rod" what one TRUCK fits that bill?

Well Danny you know I got a soft spot for '34 Fords and after that I really like '41 Chebbys but this one was a hot rod for damned sure.

 

For me this is the most beutiful hotrod pick up of all times.

 

I always like Jesus Valencia's 36 pickup.

 

Not my favorite but I have had a resto/rod shop for over 40 years and have done more 47-55.1 AD Chevy trucks, from mild to wild, than all other trucks combined. Favorite to me is a 34 Ford since it is the last year of the 32 style grill.

 

I think Littlemans meets the definition pretty well !

I think any of the early style A pickups fit the bill for most everyone but for me, it's a 40 Ford pickup, lowered, bigs and littles, any drivetrain really .... To me it's the epitome of a hot rod pickup - dress it any way you want, including stock, and it just says hot rod ...

 

This truck is owned by a friend of mine and I have been watching it's comeback trail - really cool truck ....

 

When I think of a Hot Rod Truck this is what I see in my simple mind. Every time I see a picture of this truck I just stare in awe to me it is just plain cool! Joe

Rick Flake from Fresno, built this little '34 called 'Bare Bones' back around 10 years ago.


Then he and his son Roy built another '34 called 'Night Crawler'.

 

No question!!! This is a hot rod TRUCK!

Tough company...it would be hard to pick one that's head and shoulders above the others from this bunch. Here's mine...
