well I been thinkin about what size motor for the 29 I've got. if some one might have a 265 v8, 283, or even possibly a 302. I'm not sure but something around that size. i live in Hanford, ca its about 40 mins. south of fresno. I just bought the main leaf spring. so I'll need the the rest of the springs. a guy on the web have a set of four, would that be enough for me if i added them to my main bottom? I'm just not sure so please fill me in with answers, which everyone on here has been pretty helpful. please note I'm tryin to up keep my puntuation LOL thanks

I've got a '31 coupe with the traditional (shudder) 350SBC. I like it a lot. For my next project, what I really want is an Roadster with a 215 aluminum Olds/Buick/Rover V8.
Aint' found a right priced motor, yet.

Another idea would be a Bantam coupe powered by the 215. Anyone know of repro coupe bodies available? (No hijack intended).

a sbc would be a easy way to get started, and you can dress it well. a 265 might command more money tho, id try for a 283 or 305, or maybe a later 350. like i said, you can dress em nice, if you try.

I have a 265 (1956) with powerglide came out of low milage Bel Air. some where around 75000 original miles. 2 barrel motor .Have a quad manifold to go with it . want 400. for it. would be ok for traditional car but 350s are same size and lots more power cheaper.
