can you simply fit a model a type mounting
in a 35-40 do you keep the output shaft centres the same as stock
and then take into consideration the attack line of the banjo input cyclic in the centre
land the rear axle - hypoid to be at the same input plane.
    is that the idea?

  3. Ford made a piece for '41-'48 Mercury so they could use the same Ford front axle and wishbone and move it forward on the longer chassis. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow, got one hanging in the garage that needs to go to a good home.

    aha!!!
    tractor radius ball mount
    does it look like that?
nice that it has three bolt fixing
8mm plate inside the lower rails
grind the mount to clear trans
    hope for the best

I ran an inch shim on the bolts of my 38 axle with the caps top and bottom, moved the ball down where it didn't hit the trans as much.
Someone said you can weld a model A yoke ball combo into the 35 to 40 bones widening them enough to clear the trans

I ended up splitting mine and glad I did
