I just purchased a Heidts crossmember for my '51 F-1. I bought it from a swap meet so I didn't get any paperwork. I need to know the correct measurment for installing this thing. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure you fit your fenders to the car once you get the subframe tacked in. If you put the MII exactly where the centerline of the factory axle was it usually looks too far back in the wheel well. I just put in a JW kit in a '51 for a customer and moved it forward a little over an inch to make it look right. The factory location looks okay until you drop the car down a bunch, then the wheel is back too far. I used one of the factory holes in the frame to mark my centerline side to side. Turned out real good.
