This is a 50 Olds coupe 2nd gen. Camaro frame graft I did recently for a customer. The only reason I went with the Camaro sub-frame is because the front end vehicle weight was almost identical to the Camaro. I kept hearing stories how the upper ball joints were faillng on Mustang II type supension conversions after so many miles being driven on the vehicle. This customer lives on the California coast with all the winding mountain roads etc. I don't think a Mustang II frontend would survive the beating this frontend will see. The Mustang II is only 2500-2800 lbs. This Oldsmobile coupe is over 3500 ibs. I also chose to make this installation a bolt on w/ 3/8 plate flanging and grd 8 bolts. This is alot stronger than just welding it on.
