Technical Ignition switch removal?

    On a 50 Pontiac do you rotate the switch to the left after sticking a pin in the hole to remove it?

    I think so. If that doesn't work, try turning it to the right.

    but of course, you need to have the correct key in the lock, first!

    I have one car with a key that I was going to remove and use in another car that is missing the switch cylinder. But, going through a parts box I found another cylinder with a key in it. It fit and all is good. Now I can get down to cranking the straight 8.
