Virtually every county in America originally had land platted out and dedicated specifically for ah, ... sanitariums and work farms and such. Many people are unaware of this much less that the do gooders had them all closed down... Kind of the "rest of the story" whenever you hear the latest atrocity on the news or bizarre legislation, or guys like this. Now you know!
