Well----- Just checked all 121 listed so far. I'm from---- way from Pekin. That there place is just south of Peoria home of Caterpillar and Pros***ution. I got ****ed both places! Been to probably most of all the other towns mentioned and more. Actually spent a Halloweeny in Carbondale years ago but don't tell anyone. The south end of Crab Orchard Lake used to be a nudist paradice. So I've been told. Damned those college gals were cute. Camped all over that fine state. One of the first car show and swap meets was in Olney. Eldorado, and those other tiny towns down there. Bought Chevy parts from Kessler. Quincy home of Ernie Hemmings and his tiny swap meet fliers. Nice old man. Just spent July and part of Aug 2013 up that way. Nice drive up rt 51 every year. Yep stopped in Carbondale but the bars have closed or changed. But Canton still has some nice bars and restaurants for us old people. Used to think Pekin was like Mayberry. But being away 19 years it ain't a bad place. Even have an annual bike and car show down town end of July. When I was a kid we got run outta town for driving junk like that.
Since this thread has been resurrected after a six and a half year nap... I'm in the west suburbs of Chicago. .
Illinois was always a great state for rods and customs. Some people thought ya had to live near an ocean to be a car guy.
