These are some really nice illustrations/renderings. I have a few sketches of my '51, but they are all on ****tail napkins and tracing paper. These will blow mine away.

These drawings are works in progress (so is the car), but good enough to play with colour. 57 Meteor Ranchwagon mild custom.

I wouldn't mind opinions and feedback on the colours...

This one was done about 15 years ago by Eric Aurand. It was used as the header for the Project Big Olds buildup articles in Rodders Digest. Steve Hendrickson was kind enough to give me this one along with some others he did. This is framed and hanging on the wall right next to my desk here at the house.......eye level when I'm sitting. I really treasure this piece.

This one was done as a surprise to me from some English car pals that were coming to the States for a visit. It's an original by Froggert. It's framed (finally;)) and hanging in a very prominet spot in my house.

I really should have one done now in the direction I am heading with Big Olds.

    Meteor.....I like "E"
the darker value split on the wagon looks better on the on the lower portion of the car and makes its look not so "Heavy"
    How is the Ranchero coming?

So where is a the pic of you driving it? Or is that the "pig" of you driving it? :D

I'm very interested in having some renderings done for my next project. But I'm not even sure where I want to go with it. But then again that's probably why I should get someone draw some differrnt ideas for me.

  21. Hey

Chuck it out if you want... but here's my weedy little european car project :

    (artwork by Wremm's)

Some details are not going to be on it (dummies, lake pipes, and the front indicators are gonna be totally redesigned...)

But there you have it :D

It will save you a lot of money and headaches to get the renderings done. If there is something that you don't like, it will be easy to change.

As I am sure that you can see, there are many talented individuals out there. Mine was done by fellow HAMBer "Eddiesixem". The only thing that I did was provide a few original photos and explain the wanted changes. He took it from there and the rendering easily shows what has been cruising through my mind for MANY, MANY years.
