It would make a real killer phantom pick up truck. Crazy fool, you got yer work cut out for you, it's a bitching car, always loved 'em. There's one in the movie Toys with Robin Williams, or is that a Kaiser Darrin? Naah, I think it's a Muntz.

Hello, I have read this thread in detail and it has been awhile since anyone has posted here. May I ask a question? I have read that only 49 of the Muntz Jet cars still exist. Does anyone know if there is a Muntz Club or Forum? I searched and couldn't locate one but might have missed it. The reason I ask is that I recently purchased a large cache of vintage car brochures and there is an Original Muntz Jet Brochure in the Collection. I would like to notify Muntz owners that I have this brochure and will be listing it for sale. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you,Paul
The Muntz Jet is so freakin' cool! When I was a little kid, visiting my grandparents in Wilkes Barre, Pa. a saw a car that totally knocked me out. It was low, and it was black and it had a green plaid convertible top and it was sitting in a small used car lot surrounded by normal used Chevys, Nashes, and Plymouths. The lot owner told me it was a Muntz Jet. He told me it had a Cadillac engine! It was the coolest car I had ever seen. Even cooler than the Jaguar XK120 I saw once. He told me to come back tomorrow and he'd give me a ride in it! I was so excited, I could hardley sleep that night. The next day, the car was gone and the owner wasn't around. Then it was time to pile into our '56 Country Squire and take the Pa. Turnpike back home. Sometime later, on another visit, I saw the Muntz again. It belonged to some rich-ass doctor.
