Projects I'm Back.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by McCauley's 66 Farm Truck, Nov 5, 2016.

  1. Hi guys, been gone from here for a loooong time. Life in the way and to many forums. haha Been heavily apart of 2 and now finally gonna try and come back here. Not that ya'all weren't important enough! Guess it hurts when ya have to pick an choose. Well the original thread I started introducing myself some 2 years ago is here: Howdy | The H.A.M.B.
There you can see the original build plan for my 66 Chevy, but as you can see in the pics some things have changed. haha Currently working on the cab, but thought I'd bring ya'all up to date. Later 001.JPG 002.JPG

  2. Also last year I purchased a 1964 GMC 1500 for $500 complete with a running on 4 cylinders 305E. Drove it 3 miles home and after correcting to crossed plug wires that big beast ran like a top. Fasting forward through tons of research and playing around here are some current photos of Crustine. The 305E has been heavily serviced and now sports a 351 magnum intake with a 600 cfm eddy 4 barrel, HEI and dual exhaust with flowmaster 40's. Pulls hard to 3000 RPM and is the only 305 cubic inch engine I've owned that towed 10,000 pounds up a 3% grade pulling 4th gear at 1500 RPM and Accelerating. lol One hell of a motor and mileage is surprisingly good. Bout 9.9 in the city and 12 to 14 on the highway.....when I can resist the urge to lead foot it.

  3. Plaid valve covers would look killer on the 305.

  4. Thanks Rocky, I considered. But when I went with Green I figured they wouldn't match to well. haha!
