Y'all asked to see some pix of my 8N Funk conversion. Well...here it is. It's a workhorse, not a show horse, so don't mind the patena, okay. how much work to install the added cubes? buddy has same tractor and he would like more power for mowing.
Good lookin tractor there! Theres a guy just south of me that has 2 of those old 8Ns. However, in both of his, he put the 8BA flathead in and ran dual straight pipes out the back. They sound mean as hell and would probably out run anything I own up to about 30 mph. They're so friggin sweet! I love those old 8Ns!
i have a model 600 in my barn that needs a good tune up and new rims and tires.. that's just another thing added to my list of **** that needs to be done.
seriously.. how did you mount the six in there. arent they all 4cyl? and isnt the motor part of the backbone (for lack of better term) that holds all of it together?
well after just trading the boat for what i thought was a 8n, i actualy found info on these. i found out ive got either a 9n or 2n most likely 2n. i found a realy nice show tractor on ebay with a v8 flathead. and also the adapter plate for 600 bucks but there is more involved then just poping the motor on the plate and going. do a google search for ford tractor funk conversion. here is sposed to be the best kit still avalable for the v8 http://www.awesomehenry.com/
