Hey guys.... I thought I would stop by and say hi. I had the wonderful experience of tearing off my tricep, bicep, and rotator cup tendons from my right shoulder. Put a quick stop to working on my projects or even driving them!!!! Guys.... If you have something heavy to move...... get help!!!! I've been reading the posts but only until today can simulate typing...
Ouch! Very good advice for those of us who occasionally forget that we're not 19 any more...myself included. Hope you mend quickly, Geno.
Sorry to hear about that very painful injury ! Take your time with the rehab and you will be back in full force soon . Jim
I know that injury, I am a month out of surgery from a similar injury. I was told that I can start running again in two weeks and maybe be able to lift more than 10lbs. The surgery took all the pain away in the long run and the drugs they give after surgery are sweet. It is frustrating when you have to ask someone else to screw the oil filter on because you can't reach that high or you don't have any grip and strength to do the simplest things. Hang in there and stay away from working on the car until you are healed it will help the recovery go smoother. Good luck with everything.
Sometimes our bodies are like these Ol' Fords they break down and need fixin',just take it EZ and let things heal don't let the macho get in the way of common sense.
Hey man, feel better! I hope you're not too far away being able to wrench, well more importantly cruise! Take it easy!
I did get the ol 53 out today.... I put on my "8 ball power ***ist" on the steering wheel and that helped turn the old girl. Not too many shoulder parts out there for a '51 Anderson......
Hey, hope you're doing better. Sounds like you are. I was wondering where you've been? I was gonna hit you up for a fan shroud. I have to get the dimensions yet. No hurry though, it'll likely be part of the "fighting the wintertime boredom" blues anyway. Drive the car more, it's good therapy,eh? I'm also a '51 model and haven't found any NOS stuff yet either! If you find any. let me know ron
Geno. sounds like you're able to crack a couple of jokes, that means your outlook is okay..... sometimes mindset helps in healing too.... so keep positive, drive the car, and take it easy.... heck. maybe you need some recovery beer can curls.... up, sip, down, gulp, up sip, down, gulp... but not until you're off the pain meds... don't wanna end up with some kind of bad ju-ju there... xoxo
