SO build a g***er as a daily but please dont ruin that poor car. and If you do (ruin it) can I have all your old suspension stuff cause I cant afford the stuff for my car. I'll trade you a big block and some fenderwell headers for all your suspension!!!!!
I'm pretty much with everyone else on here, I would not hack that up into a g***er. AND I LOVE G***ERS! You won't like how it drives, and well.......starting a g***er project with what you seem to have would just be dumb. My two cents, whatever that's worth. But hey....If it's rough under all that pretty exterior....go for it. A real g***er is barely streetable, if at all. If you wanna just straight axle it, don't make the mistake of calling it a g***er....I see that ALOT. Just having that axle up front does not make a "g***er" Crazy motor+engine setback+ladder bars+straight axle/ball spacers+big slicks+pizza cutters+gutted interior etc=G***ER I'm not trying to be negative, its just reality. I could daily drive my g***er if I wanted to, but 2000lb cars with wild blown nailheads that only run on race gas and have no front brakes..............not so daily. haha.
Keep in mind, these things are purpose built cars. And the purpose is to go in a straight line under ideal conditions. I drive mine on the street, and I put a lot of miles on it, but I would not consider it worthy to be a daily. - if its cold it ****s- if its really hot, it ****s-if its windy, it ****s- if it's raining, it really ****s. I generally laugh when people tell me I can't drive it on the street, but I will agree that it is not particularly well suited for the street. It's very border line. The faster you want it to go, the worse it will probably be for the street. If you tame it down too much you're left with something that is just a phony.
