The ones I miss are the ones I don't know where they are. The ones I could buy back, I wouldn't.

Man I wish I had known about it being for sale, I might have been interested. Don't know if I could have afforded it but it sure was a neat car. Very practable. I hope the new owner realizes what he's got. Just can't seem to get the 3-w done. Rick

Damn im sorry about this...I know exactly how you feel, i felt the same way when i sold my 53 bel air 2dr hardtop a couple of years ago...Its like cars have a personality and soul of there own, I never thought id get over it but i now have a car i feel more love for...I know you have other cars, do you plan to get something else?

  5. Mike , it nice to see such quality cars . Selling the roadster must have hurt but at least it sounds like it went to someone that will take very good care of it. Have fun with that Vicky it should take some of the sting away and after all its all about being happy and the people you meet. Take care ,Rob.

    Hi Rick,
Your ears must have been ringing last night. One of my friends sent me an email last night. He's hot to buy a Riviera and last night he sent me the H.A.M.B. post of your Riviera build before you bought it. I told him that you owned it now.
The guy that bought my car is a buddy that's wanted it for the last 7 years. he's a very knowledgeable guy that will take good care of it.
I hope all is well with you.......Mike

  8. Just like saying goodbye to a person, you are remembering the good times and thinking about there not being anymore good times with that person/car. Life moves on, go out and make new memories in the other cars.

Just be glad you could afford to keep it if you wanted to.

I am sorry to see it go out of your hands as well, Mike........but take some comfort every time you drive or even just *look at* your killer '34 Vicky.........not to mention the others, eh?

Hell, you could have at least given me that rear tag topper!!

I guess since the buyer is a friend you'll still get to see it if you want. I don't know if it would be worse seeing it when someone else owns it or never seeing it again?!?

Nice car but I'm sure the others are just as nice.

  13. Looks like one super nice roadster! I currently have buyers remorse real bad...because..I did not buy your wonderful roadster! Sorry you are going through arthritis pain and sellers remorse! I too....let some great rides go!! I get way over sentimental..when it comes to cars...I am far better at buying than selling!:) It seems we are all just caretakers of our rides/possessions until it is time to pass them on to their next caring owner......hope you are not to hard on yourself...P.S. next time PM me when you sell something...as you got great taste.....John

Sorry to hear about your knee and heart issues. I hope those turn for the better soon.

As for the roadster, I can understand your remorse!

I feel your pain...I had to sell my T Bucket last Feb '09..it didn't have a door. I can't lift my daughter to get in/out any more..my back, hips, and knees are shot. But the good news I bought a '50 shoebox and now I can take both daughters AND the wife cruis'in, but man I sure loved that T!

It's difficult to see one go. Kinda like your daughter going off to get married and you know she's sleeping with that guy!! As I approach 67th birthday (Friday if you want to send me a present) I look at my 28 A. Chopped a bit too much...5 inches. Do I want to channel it? What? And crawl in? With these aches and pains? I think it's time to go automatic. (shudder)
So, hemifarris, look back at the cars you've had, enjoyed and sold and think of the good times. And smile. You...I...we...are lucky to have been there when.
    Best wishes for happiness.

I know you will miss it , that one is a beauty! Good that it is going to a good home.
This gettin' old thing is not for the timid! It sucks but then the alternative does too!
Hope the knees feel better when warmer days arrive.

Sorry to hear that you needed to sell your roadster... glad that you have other cars to enjoy and that your still able to do that.... I have trouble getting in and out of my chopped 33 pickup, it was my Dad's old truck. i'm 6'3" tall and I have problems with my right hip... so I understand..... I am working on a Model A sedan and when I can't get in and out of the 33 anymore I guess that I will pass it on to my son..... Take care and have fun with your hotrods and make the guy you sold the 32 to take you for a ride this summer.....
