Well, at last I am a COE owner!! Yesterday I purchased my first COE. It is a 1941 GMC...and I am really excited!!

I discovered the world of COE's a couple of years ago, and have been on the search for one ever since. I live in Alaska, so trucks like this are very hard to find. But, I found one in the local craig's list and bought it yesterday!!

I cannot start on it yet, as I just started working on my '56 Dodge 1/2 ton. But it is mine...and that is the important part.

I am sure I will have many questions as time goes on. The one question that come to mind right now is: Does anyone have any links that I can learn about my specific truck?

Now I just have to figure out how to post a picture. I thought I could just upload it from my computer, but I guess not!

Congrats, like the others, I would like to see pics of it too. As for specific info, you can stop in at oldgmctrucks.com and stovebolt.com, there is alot of info and advice on model specific things there.

Thanks everyone !!! As you can tell I am very excited !! My COE was sitting on a different frame when I found it. My plan is to set it on a lower 2-wheel drive frame (it was on a 6 wheel 2 1/2 ton frame) and to lower it a bit. So, I just bought the body without the frame and motor.

I really would like to find cab #2 and make a crew cab out of it. But, I don't know if I really have the skill sets to pull it off. That is the look that I like, so we will see if I can make it happen.

Flowmeister, I did find the posting of your COE build. It looks very nice!! Thank you for posting, as it really helps others (like myself) find their way through their own builds.

Still trying to figure out the picture thing, without having them on a different web site. I was able to add an album to my profile, as well as adding a picture to the "COE" group, but still can't figure out how to add one into this thread. I do not see the "go advanced" or "manage attachments" anywhere !?!?
