Having said what I said I also need to say to all of us newbies (me included) that we have a responsibility to be respectfull and take the time to learn all about this great site.

Mutual respect, common sence and good judgement should prevail....

with a side of an occational opinion :D:rolleyes:

I think I used my "OPINIONS" budget all up!

I have mistaken this site as to be for people who build hot rods of any "style"...including the occasional rat rod. Sorta a melting pot of all hot rods and their owners.

My misunderstanding and will leave well enough alone.

"The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms"

Doesn't mention any other styles...... Maybe re-read this again.

I Just re-read it and it leaves the definition of TRADITIONAL hot rods and Kustoms open to what the reader wants to define them as.

You know, one of these days the old Codgers on here are going to quit getting mad that everyone's flocking around the Rusty Model A that just laid frame a few spots down from them at the show, and all they can get is grandpa Looking at there's remenissing( However the hell you spell that. ) Here's my beef, I consider my ride a rat because I use what I can, I'm on a budget and have 4 children. It is a TRADITIONAL HOTROD. 53 Ford wide whites, satin black, no rust anywhere. I like a Rat, and like the rods. We're all here to get info and blabber to one another. Why do you feel the need to rag someone just because they say Rat.

If a rats unsafe, sure I see your point. But if its a inexpensively built safe, fun ride, leave them the hell alone and go buff your paint.

Hang in there Rusty! I made reference to a certain magazine and they tore into me as well. I guess it's their way or the highway to some. Call it what you want. As long as you're having fun with it, it shouldn't matter.

Hi and welcome. The Briggs body seems to have had a longer cowl area, different hood than standard Ford models, and I think the four door quarter windows were different also. Please check out the Model A Ford Club of America for more information. Hope this helps.
