I saw a watch advertised that looked like a 30's car instrument panel, and I can't find it now. Anyone see this?Thank you
I thought the 1930 Dashtronic pictured over to the right was pretty cool. Three was a full page adverti*****t in Street Rodder magazine this month for that one. Definitely looks like something a HAMBer would appreciate.
The 30's Dashtronic is the one I ordered. Pretty cool looking. Was the price the same ($99) in Street Rodder?
It was also in the newest Haggerty Ins. magazine, I thought it would have been cool to get your own stuff engraved on the face of the watch.
Great link! The original watch sold at an auction house for more than 11 million dollars! This being a site for the mechanical-minded.....a mechanical watch that winds itself throughout the day by the motion of your wrist is an amazing thing. Why can't we make a car that does that?!
Here is the one I always wanted. Of course it was over 8K new. They show up on e-bay oc***ionally for about half that. Gerald Genta jump hour. the hand ticks off the minutes and when it "pegs" the dial it clicks over the hour in the "odometer" spot and goes back to zero and starts over.
Yeah, Groucho, it was the same price or very close. I think these are sold direct through the company either way. Pretty neat looking "vintage" piece that I enjoyed seeing the ad for. I think it might be pretty neat somehow incorporated into a dashboard as a clock on a 30's era ride...
Wow thats a nice piece.. I have only been into watches for about 8 years have a few really nice ones and a few odd balls that look cool ranging from 5k to 10 Bucks... I recently just got this eberle black face because it reminded me of old gauges and I am looking at this Louis Bolle, it it almost looks like a gas gauge an the colors are cool I think the red arrow is the day of the month. There is a Gerald Genta jump hour on the bay right know $4600 buy it now...
I got three of these and a stop watch ..... All free. Each different they just give em to you for showing up Each has my start number ......... Sorry guess you had to be there Hey Mister nice watch!
Man, and here I thought I'd be one of the only HAMBers to have that watch, since none of us read Street Rodder. For a hundred bucks, that's not a bad investment at all.
NO doubt...**** it will buy a car...Groucho, I have seen some of the Jewelry you wear though not on the cheap side..
I don't wear jewelry just watches. usually inexpensive ones, because they get beat up in the shop when I forget to take it off
I got one of those for Christmas. I don't even wear a watch, but saw it in a magazine (not Street Rodder....it was like on the back of People or something) and casually mentioned to my parents I thought it was neat. So I've got a pretty neat looking watch on the counter at home
Yup hamilton ventura/pacer. i have one of those too. mines a 90's hamilton reissue. even those are kinda pricey now. like $400. the originals go for 2k and up
