1930 Ford Model A Sedan, the panel that goes underneath the windshield down to the cowl or top of the gas tank I guess. Now that I have my windshield installed I really notice it, didn't realize it before. What is that piece called and where might I get one? This is a hot rod and not a restoration so it wouldn't need to be perfect.
Macs has em for 215.00 http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb...~S2TU12TPMW66829999235a~Z5Z5Z5~Z5Z5Z50000021x
That is the part you need that Dreddybear posted the link for. Tough to find a decent used one. They were pretty thin metal & were prone to rot, all of the water from the windsheild sat on them in the seams. Not sure how the fit is on the macs part but I had 2 different gl*** ones & neither fit worth a damn. I searched for more than a year to find a decent used one. You could try ford barn, just don't mention that you are a hot rodder or they will not sell you anything. http://www.fordbarn.com/
I always call it a cowl filler panel. I found a nice original one ($65) and still see them from time to time on an auction site. I saw a bunch at Hershey around the $100 range.
try Burt's Model A out of Colorado. Huge inventory of original parts. Try A Google search. Nice to deal with.
