I know I'm new and just a FNG but, I've found that there is such a wealth of knowledge and useful tidbits here that it's actually hard to navigate. For instance, most of the cars for sale are local pickup only, but (as far as I can tell) theres no way to Narrow your search to a specific region. Also I tried searching for members with cars similar to mine (figured they'd be the most helpful to me) and found no easy way to search through the user profiles. I could go through each one but theres way too many members to do that (waste valuable shop time). I think this site is great, with an invaluable wealth of information, just wish it were easier to navigate. Maybe there is a computer programer out there in the HAMBer world that could make it happen. Would serve to make a great thing even better.

Why not just use your car year and model as the keywords in an advanced search or perhaps the region you're interested in.

tried it but it still isn't that effective. Most of the hits will have Messages with like 30 posts where the word Washington, or dodge, or Custom or Deluxe are used, but like once in some obscure reference. Even if that did work for some, I think it could be improved upon. A regional search of the members profiles shouldn't be that hard to put in. The car specifics would be a lot tougher.

Throw your stuff in quotes in your search...like:... "1930 Dodge Custom Deluxe" ... etc... a few words together in quotes will quickly narrow your search.... works the same way in Google and most other search engines.
