Hey guys I am jimmy i used to about a year ago chat on here under the name 55rustbucket. Now i got a 57 chevy 2 door sedan so i got a new name. My new peoject is comming along pretty good except i have som ehold backs like needing a driver door for it. I still have my other cars. I live in latrobe pennsylvania if you all forgot and i am 20years old. I got new rockers in the car and also got new 4inch setback firewall in the car. I have a problem tho. The doors are right withthe rockerpanels. They match up good. But the problem I am having is even tho my doors are level with the rockerpanles the doors are in from the quarterpanels. Is there anyway i can get this fixed without cuttign the quarters off and replacing them?
    thanks,
    Jimmy

Sounds like at one point somebody doing the work had too many of those funny beers you guys make up there. I know you know that was coming! Sorry I can't help, just wanted to welcome a fellow PA member.

Yeah i havent got picutres of it just yet. tonight i will. I hope that its repairable without having to replace the quarters because I am working on a budget. I right now got more time then i do money. I have nothing at all to do around here right now but i dont have that much money. So for cutting and welding and reworkign stuff i can do that pretty good tho! I also need to find myself a driverside door because the prevous owner made his own bottom of the door and when he did he didn't put the arc in it liek the orignal doors have so its flat and looking back the door its bowed in the middle in. I gues ill need a new door for that because i dont see anyway to pound it back out and radus it like orignal. Ill get pictures tonight. Also how do you post pictures on here? i have no idea how to.
    thanks,
    Jimmy

Is it just fucked up in the skin, or is the lower door structure messed up? Because you can get a new door skin and swap that out if the inner structure is shitty. I know that those two door sedan doors are getting hard to find, I'm pretty glad I found the two I have for my '57. I believe Pontiac two door sedan doors are the same if that helps your search.

Post some pics, I'm interested to see what you have going.

I'm buildin a 55 convert at work and let me tell you, a guy can spend all day just adjusting the doors to get it perfect! Its crazy, all of the adjustment that they really have! (sorry pics are a little blurry)
