I never had a '32 Ford anything and don't have the $$ for one now, at least it looks that way. Someone had a pair of NOS rear '32 sedan fenders on "another website" for $4000!! Could that be serious, or possible? I don't have $4000 in my hot rod!

Demand dictates price, '32 anything is spendy. Are they worth that to most people, probably not. But someone will probably buy them.

Maybe you could touch someone's nuts if you had those fenders on your hotrod... haha

Same old story... everyone wants a 32 because it's a 32, and there are too many people that dont actually work for their money... and they dont give a **** what they spend on something. Look at what an original 32 steel three window goes for....

A friend of mine just sold his restored 1911 Harley Davidson twin to some white collar guy with a fat wallet for 290,000. he bought it almost finished 10 years ago for 15,000. If enough people are willing to spend absurd amounts of money on ****... the part becomes worth that much.

What do you gusy think the restored Doane Spencer roadster will fetch ? Or the Neal East roadster ? And so on...as long as there are the Kirk Whites to buy/restore them, prices are unlimited.

Have you seen the prices for an original 32 grilleshell lately ?!?! I can refurbish my kitchen for that kind of money !! (and no, I don't live in a tent, cooking on CampinGaz....wisecracks !)

NOS could mean **** actually, could have been left in the shop because they didnt fit the car and they took another pair, alot of the nos stuff was made way in the end when the presses might have been worn out...
sometimes its better to get good used ones that someone maybe takes off to run as an high boy or something...

    Supply and demand........ :)

1932 was the lowest production year for Ford in many years. Folks back then wanted them.........but the depression was at it's worse. Ford lost 75 million dollars in 1932 ....

I have been a 32 Ford fan since the 60's and the prices have always been stupid.........just worse now.

I bought a NOS 32 grille shell years ago for $350. Everyone said I was nuts. No way it could go higher. :) :) can you say over 3 thousand ? a few years ago.

    Guess they were wrong........
Everyone said when Brookville came out with their Roadster......the market for original 32 Roadsters would be shot......... Guess they were wrong.......

Everyone says that when the Brookville Roadster 3 Window comes out......the market for original 3 Windows will be shot.......HOPE NOT........ :)

There was a set of 32 3W wheelwells on eBay this week. Rough, nasty and half gone....bid up to $265 and they did not meet the reserve......sick....even I would have most likely threw them in the trash....and I almost never get rid of anything original 32 Ford.....

    It is sick.......

I wish everyone did NOT like 32's ( like Marq )........so there would be more for me.........

Marq, I have never even said this aloud, but I tend to agree with you.
I like the flowing lines of the 33-34's and the beautiful body lines of the 35-36's and the swept back droopy looks of the 37-40's much better than the boxy looks of the T's, A's and the 32 B's. just my opinion too.   :D
But when your comparing T's, A's and B's. give me a B anyday.

Must be the time line thing,,,I've had several Model A's,,,3 forty coupes,a 40 pickup,a 39 ford convertible and 2 forty sedans,,,,,but as a kid I loved the lines of the 32's,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Hell no,they ain't cheap!

,,,,,,but when I was forced to sell a car,,,,,,,,,,I have made good money on the deuces,,,,,Because there are a lot of 32 Ford nutz out there!

Marq,,,if you had a 32 frame for sale and a 28/31 frame,,,,you gonna ask the same price?,,,,,,,,,,,,heck no,,,,you know they are worth more,,,

As Deuce said,,,Supply and Demand! HRP

How do I get to be one of the people that don't have to work for their money?

If there's another way, I'm gonna be pissed![/QUOTE]

Hang in there..I think traditional rodding will soon be recognized as an important folk art, and all us early Ford types will be living large on our grants from the National Endowment for the Arts...start typing that proposal.

    ***s, *** and Booze?

psychodaemon is right on with the NOS means ****. they might need a ton of work to make them usable. probably only reason they are so much is because it is NOS...

here's the deal. Someone who wasn't there, who listened to someone else, who heard it from a friend who probably owned one, wrote in a book that the Deuce is the quintesential hotrod. Everybody owned one and they all cruised Van Nuys 24 hours a day from say about '23 to '58.

Nuthin' wrong with '32s, the lines are just '32. They can be cool to he bone done right. Of course right is a matter of opinion.
I personaly think that a Reilly can be cool done right.

Given my options if I could have what I really want I would be all over a '34, I like the snowplow grill shell and the lines. Of course i usually have whatever it is that I have at the time and do the best I can with what I got.

And yes everything that we want is way overpriced. But you have to remember when I started out in this thing a good solid project could be had for less than 100.00 and American mags sold for 27.00 brandy new.

    jesus,

this is getting out of hand. If someone invents a damn time machine, you can bet this first thing they'll do is go back to 1950's and buy a complete 32 ford for 40 dollars.

and then they'd go to 1971 or whatever and buy a plymouth cuda for 7500 brand new.
